About Us We are a caring family practice with a competent, dedicated staff of veterinarians, animal technicians, and office personnel. We offer complete medical, surgical, diagnostic and dental services, emergency care, and boarding. Our state-of-the-art facility includes operating rooms, an intensive care unit, diagnostic in-house laboratories, computerized ECG, a radiology center, pharmacy, large indoor and outdoor runs and cages, networked computerized records system, conference room, and administrative offices. | Elvis Presley's dog, Getlow, was flown from Memphis to Boston and transported to West Boylston, to be treated by the hospital. He lived three months in recovery on the farm and returned to Memphis over 35 years ago. |

Robert J. Tashjian V.M.D. Dr. Robert Tashjian is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He was on the Animal Medical Center staff in New York for 18 years, which included serving as Director, before establishing the Robert J. Tashjian V.M.D. Animal Medical Center in the mid 1970's. He also received an honorary Doctor of Science Degree for his achievements in science and medicine. The Hospital The original outpatient area is a historic home. In 1984, a New England style addition was added to make it a modern 15,000 square foot facility. The outpatient and inpatient hospital is primary on the first floor. The second floor includes administrative offices, laboratory, business offices, and conference room. The extensive computer network that exist throughout both floors includes innovative veterinary software to assist in the practice.
Affiliations The animal hospital has affiliations with initiatives through the American Veterinary Medical Frontiers, Inc. (AVMF) and its two divisions: The Malden Brook Farm Heritage Center and "A Bio-surveillance Center (ABC) at Malden Brook."
